Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) carries out the speech and language instruction within a student’s individualized educational program for Aspire Public Schools. The Speech and Language pathologist CF instructs students with Individualized Education Plans in an inclusive environment. S/he works closely with school sites, Special Education staff, and Aspire staff on a regular basis and may work with outside consultants and district personnel as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide direct, individual and/or small group instruction to identified students on a regularly scheduled basis as required in the IEP Regularly collaborates with team members, parents and related service providers for the purposes of: reviewing student data, ensuring IEP implementation, co-planning and/or co-teaching Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Educational Plans for students who qualify for Related Services pursuant to California educational codes. Create and maintain, records, files, and reports as required by federal, state, and SELPA regulations Maintain knowledge of current regulations pertaining to special education and meet the minimum IDEA requirements related to case management Maintain a high level of rigor for students with disabilities in order to ensure equitable access to common core and/or alternate curriculum standards by developing instructional materials and strategies for Special Education students in the general education setting. Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior

OVERVIEW:
Serves as resource for the implementation of the Special Education program for Aspire Public Schools. Provides support for elementary and secondary teachers at all sites. Upholds the mission and values established by Aspire Public Schools.
DUTIES:
1. Provide direct, individual or small group instruction to identified pupils on a regularly scheduled basis as required in the IEP.
2. Collaborate with other personnel working with Special Education students.
3. Participate in developing and implementing Individual Educational Plans for students who qualify for Designated Instructional Services (DIS).
4. Implement and monitor IEP of students who qualify for Designated Instructional Services (DIS).
5. Screen, assess, and provide specialized speech and language services to students who qualify for services as established by State standards.
6. Consult with school and home office staff.
7. Develop instructional materials and strategies for Special Education students in the mainstream classroom.
8. Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
9. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Strong communication and community-building skills
• Bilingual/Bi-literate—English/Spanish
• Outstanding training and presentation abilities
• Experience in performance assessment
• Strong problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; flexible, able to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed
2) Minimum educational level:
• Bachelor's Degree; Masters preferred
• Valid California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential
3) Experience required:
• 3+ years as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Proficiency with MS Office

Minimum educational level: Master’s Degree Certifications or Credentials Needed Valid California Intern Speech-Language Pathology School Services credential or California Intern Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential with an authorization in Language, Speech and Hearing Experience required: Completion of school/medical based internship
