The Assistant Manager of Human Resources provides essential leadership, coordination, and training (to staff) in the responsibilities assigned to the Human Resources Department. Moreover, through CRISP Communication, the Assistant Manager helps to ensure high-quality services to SJUSD Employees and contributes to fulfilling SJUSD’s Vision. The department’s responsibilities include Hiring/Recruiting, Salary/Record Keeping, Benefits/Leaves, Risk Management, and Substitutes. In addition, the Assistant Manager will work collaboratively with other agencies (e.g. State/Federal Labor Laws, County Office of Education, Credentialing Commission, STRS/PERS, Insurance Providers, etc.) in order to serve employees.
