The Foothill-De Anza Community College District is currently accepting applications for the faculty position Articulation Officer/Transfer Services Coordinator, De Anza College.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DE ANZA COLLEGE ARTICULATION AND TRANSFER SERVICES OFFICE:
To facilitate student transfer, the Articulation and Transfer Services (ATS) Office develops and maintains formal articulation agreements, transfer agreements, and transfer admission guarantee contracts between De Anza College (DAC) and regionally accredited four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, the ATS Office provides support to faculty with the curriculum development process.
Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attending department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, service on district and/or college committees, and performing other duties consistent with the role of an instructor. Instructors also have the opportunity to participate in campus extra-curricular activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President of Instruction, this position is responsible for the leadership, development and oversight of the articulation and transfer programs and services.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and maintain a comprehensive articulation program, procedures and policies.
• Serve as articulation liaison to UC's, CSU's, private, and out-of-state colleges/universities.
• Coordinate campus efforts to address statewide initiatives and projects such as C-ID, ASSIST, Degree Audit, CalGETC, IGETC, UC TCA (Transfer Course Agreement), etc.
• Coordinate campus participation in professional organizations (CIAC, NCIAC, Region IV) as well as other inter- and intra-segmental activities related to articulation and serve as the campus liaison to segmental system-wide offices.
• Apprise and advise Curriculum Committee, appropriate administrators, and department chairs of articulation issues and activities, especially as related to the review, revision and development of courses with transfer preparation and articulation potential.
• Develop and maintain relationships with instructors, counselors, department chairs, and division deans to facilitate the articulation process.
• Consult with department chairs, deans, and vice presidents regarding the establishment of transfer agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOU).
• Participate in the curriculum review process in a timely manner and on college and district committees responsible for curriculum review and approval. Providing technical review for all curricular changes via the curriculum management system, assessing potential articulation implications, validating transferability, and providing feedback to course/program proposers.
• Collaborate with the Transfer Center to develop and coordinate transfer to support the transfer of underrepresented students.
• Develop and maintain Transfer Admissions Agreements (TAAs) with colleges/universities.
• Prepare annual local and state reports as required.
• May, at employee's discretion, teach or provide counseling services to students up to 10% of a faculty load.
• Serve on appropriate campus committees relating to curriculum, academic policies, catalog production, General Education, and others to provide input about curriculum and articulation issues. This includes serving as a voting member of the College Curriculum Committee.
• In collaboration with the Articulation Specialist, coordinate publications and other announcements.
• In collaboration with counselors, the Transfer Center, and the Admissions and Records Office, develop plans and procedures for students and faculty related to articulation and transfer degrees.
• Coordinating and maintaining the applicability of external exams (such as AP, IB, and CLEP scores.)
Minimum Qualifications:
• Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
• Must meet the state mandated minimum qualifications for a faculty appointment in any discipline. This requires a Master's degree OR the equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two years of experience working in curriculum, articulation, or transfer-related functions.
• Two years of teaching/counseling at the community college level.
• Experience with or knowledge of community college curriculum requirements and regulations including C-ID and TMC requirements and appropriateness to community college experience.
• Understanding of classroom equity and its relationship to course outlines of record and the curriculum process.
• Leadership experience and ability to work effectively with faculty through shared governance and other college processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a variety of employee groups.

HIRING RANGE: $86,321.88 - $160,252.32 annually plus benefits; actual placement is based on applicant's verified education and experience.
