Yosemite Valley Charter and Monarch River Academy are tuition-free, public charter schools serving transitional kindergarten through 12th-grade students all across the Central Valley. Paraprofessionals provide critical support to our teachers, administrators, and families by performing a wide variety of tasks and assignments designed to enhance student learning. Our Paraprofessionals are dedicated to fostering positive, flexible, and collaborative learning environments, prioritizing meaningful relationships to empower students and support educators. Working as a paraprofessional at Yosemite Valley Charter and Monarch River Academy is fulfilling due to a flexible schedule, allowing me to balance work and personal commitments effectively. The camaraderie within our team fosters a collaborative environment, and our leader provides excellent support both professionally and personally. I appreciate the opportunities to engage with students, contribute to various projects, and pursue additional educational goals, all supported by the school and administration. The majority of tasks assigned to Paraprofessionals are conducted virtually. However, some travel and in-person assignments will be required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent, and Two years of college (48 units), or A. A. degree (or higher), or Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction Experience working with/supporting children in a school setting is preferred.
