Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Student Services, the Family Resource Center Director/Social Work Specialist (FRC Director) is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operation and evaluation of all programs and functions associated with the Arcata Family Resource Center (FRC). The FRC Director works with the Director of Student Services in developing organizational goals, obtaining and allocating resources, and establishing policies and procedures. The FRC Director provides leadership and direction to program staff in carrying out key roles assigned to them. The FRC Director provides direct services, including counseling, to students.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential • Four-year degree in child development, social work, or counseling desired • Master’s degree in education, social work, or counseling desired • Three years’ experience supervising or managing programs serving children, youth, and families. • Experience in school Social Work and grant writing is desired. • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and human relation skills • Competence in communicating effectively with staff, district personnel, members of the general public, andrepresentatives of other local, state, and federal agencies. • A valid Class C California Driver’s License, TB Clearance, and Department of Justice Clearance.
