Job Summary

Esparto Unified School District seeks an inspiring music education specialist who is responsible for teaching music courses to students in grades 6th - 12th grades. Esparto Unified is expanding musical opportunities for all grades. Duties Include: *Assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of music instruction. *Helps students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing, moving to music, playing of instruments and listening and performs other duties directly related to this job. *Teaches general music to 6-12 grade including harmony, appreciation, history, and ensemble. *Utilizes repertoire of all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of students. *Providing performance opportunities for ensembles in and out of school. *Teaching music courses in Band and Guitar using traditional and digital methods.

Requirements / Qualifications

-Bachelors Degree required -CA Education Specialist Teaching Credential required: - Music -CLAD certification or equivalent -Resume -(3) Letters of Recommendation (Current within the last year) -Letter of Introduction -Official Transcripts The applicant must hold or be qualified for the appropriate credential issued by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorizing service in the areas of this teaching position. At the time of initial employment, credential unit members shall be given full credit on the salary schedule for their first ten (10) years of full-time teaching experience, whether in California or another state. Thereafter, one (1) year of credit for each two (2) years of full-time teaching in California or another state will be allowed. Such experience credit shall only be allowed for public school teaching experience.
