Nevada City School of the Arts (NCSOTA), a TK-8 charter school in operation since 1994, is seeking a dynamic, culturally aware, stimulating and highly qualified teacher to join our paraprofessional school team. SCHEDULE: 2023-24 School Year - Part Time WAGE: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience SUMMARY: The Nevada City School of the Arts (NCSOTA) Registered Behavioral Technician would work under the direction of the School Director and the Director of Student Services to support students and obtain the skills necessary to demonstrate appropriate, prosocial behavior and engage in the classroom safely and productively. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support students on the school campus including in the classroom, in small groups, and in 1:1 settings. Implement, update and provide input on behavior reduction and skill acquisition plans Maintain a caring, appropriate and supportive relationship with students with a variety of behavioral challenges. Believe in the possibility and value of behavioral change, through restorative practices, data driven research-based practices, skill building, and therapeutic relationships. Work collaboratively with a full range of stakeholders, including parents, guardians, mental health providers, school employees, administration, etc. Assist in providing training and consultation on behavioral functioning and needs of students.
