Job Summary

The Instructional Aide supports individual students and small groups by delivering high-quality, personalized instruction and services aligned to students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). ESSENTIAL DUTIES •Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students per IEPs •Implement IEP goals with fidelity, including 1:1 classroom support •Assist with physical, mobility, toileting, and health-related needs as required and under appropriate supervision •Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans in accordance with IDEA •Track and document student progress toward IEP goals •Create and implement modified and accommodated instructional materials •Support student independence through responsibility and monitoring plans •Collaborate with IEP team members, including teachers, specialists, and service providers •Implement de-escalation strategies, including Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques •Maintain confidentiality and comply with Aspire policies and procedures MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS •Associate’s degree, 48 college units completed, or passage of the Paraprofessional Test •Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred •Experience working with students with moderate/severe disabilities preferred •Knowledge of child development, learning styles, and inclusive practices •Ability to follow IEPs, adapt instruction, and maintain confidentiality PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Position may require lifting, assisting with mobility, standing or sitting for extended periods, repetitive motions, and moving between classrooms or worksites.
