Job Summary

The Expanded Learning Educator (ExLE) provides academic intervention, homework support, and enrichment activities as part of a high-quality after school program. The ExLE independently supervises students, facilitates engaging instruction, and collaborates with After School Program staff to support students’ academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and physical needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES •Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment •Manage student behavior and promote positive school culture •Deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction and enrichment •Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including students with IEPs •Use assessments and student data to guide instruction and monitor progress •Provide whole-class, small-group, and individualized support •Collaborate with after school staff, school-day teachers, and service providers •Communicate with families to support student success •Track daily attendance and complete required documentation MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS •Associate’s degree or 48 college units completed (or paraprofessional exam) •Experience working with children or youth in a school or community-based setting •1+ year as a teacher, intern, or instructional assistant preferred •Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and communication skills WORK AUTHORIZATION & CLEARANCES •DOJ background clearance •Authorization to work in the United States •TB clearance Aspire Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
