Requirements / Qualifications
Must demonstrate Highly Qualified status using the following education requirements • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following: - Completion of two (2) years of higher education study (48 semester units or 72 quarter units) - Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher degree - Passage of a Fontana Unified School District (FUSD) approved Paraprofessional Exam or possession of an FUSD approved Paraprofessional Certificate. (See www.fusd.net for details) • 6 semester units in Early Childhood Education. • Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR Certificates from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of initial employment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION: • Experience working with children under the age of 5 in an educational setting. • Minimum of one year of work experience working with children in an educational setting. Proof of certificates, education, etc. will be required upon recommendation for employment.
