Position Title: Campus Supervisor
Employment Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Student Development Coordinator
Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Student Development Coordinator, supervise and monitor the campus and parking area; perform a variety of security and safety related activities and do related work as required.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Supervises, patrols, maintains order and security, and monitors campus, buildings, common areas, restrooms, and parking areas and facilities during school events on and off campus.
- Assist and direct visitors while on campus.
- Develops rapport and builds relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Uses positive reinforcement strategies and other appropriate techniques to assist students in the development of appropriate behavior and responses to adversity.
- Encourages a clean and orderly campus environment using your knowledge of school policies and procedures, schedules and events.
- Prepare incident reports pertaining to student misconduct, vandalism, injuries, etc. as needed.
- Remove and escort students from classrooms to appropriate administrative offices.
- Remove and escort unauthorized persons from campus.
- Assist with bus loading and unloading of students.
- Assist ill or injured students by escorting them to appropriate administrative office, or contacting emergency personnel.
- Assists in student pick-up and drop-off, ingress and egress before and after school.
- Adhere to all established safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Requirements:
- Completion of 12th grade and one year of experience working with youth in an organized setting.
- Knowledge of: Best practices in working with, and de-escalating, teenagers; adolescent behavior; rules and regulations regarding school safety and climate; rules and regulations pertaining to school and event security; positive-behavior interventions and supports; signs and symptoms of alcohol and/or drug impairment.
- Ability to: Enforce campus rules and regulations; maintain a secure and safe campus; maintain a positive attitude towards adolescents; maintain positive relationships with students under stressful conditions; stay current on trends and topics related to school events on and off-campus; move about campus quickly and effectively; engage in direct communication with students and visitors regarding campus rules and regulations in ways that build relationships; use tact and diplomacy to resolve conflicts effectively; give clear and concise directions regarding expectations of behavior.
- Possesses a valid California drivers license and proof of automobile insurance. Position requires DMV clearance
- Must be able to pass criminal background screening, FBI/DOJ fingerprinting, TB test, and drug test

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
Position may require use of personal vehicle. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, typing, bending and lifting up to approximately 50 lbs (i.e. tables, chairs, food, water, etc.)
Modification to work schedule may be made based on need of the Academy.
