Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, Maintenance, Operations and Transportation (FMOT) or other assigned administrator, manage the varied operations and programs. Coordinate and supervise the communication, installation, repair and maintenance of facilities; coordinate the implementation of staff safety and health related programs; plan, organize, monitor and supervise the work of assigned personnel assigned to several specialized facilities construction, or maintenance units.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by completion of an approved apprenticeship program in one or more of the maintenance trades and five years maintenance experience including at least two years of responsible supervisory experience in the management of programs and services which include the maintenance, repair and construction of complex facilities and building equipment systems. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license. Incumbent will be involved in field work which requires travel in personal or district vehicle to various sites. Incumbents may be required to wear protective apparel including goggles, face protectors, aprons and shoes. Active contractor's license issued in the State of California or active license as an Inspector of Record (IOR) preferred.
