Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid California teaching credential authorizing instruction to Adult Education students in English As A Second Language. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Ability to work and communicate well with staff. Previous experience working with adults. Follow curriculum guidelines to plan and teach whole group, small group, and individual instruction to meet individual student needs. Understand and apply current research-based strategies for classroom instruction, including but not limited to curriculum alignment, benchmark assessments, and California Standards for the Teaching Profession. Understand and provide competency-based instruction. Identify the need for data, acquire data or create data sources and evaluate relevance of data. Perform basic attendance accounting and clerical tasks in a timely manner. Administer and score Performance–based Assessments for all students. Maintain student records and data including Performance Assessments.
NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION: - Present certificated employees of the District must submit an application, a letter of intent and resume demonstrating their qualifications for the position. - Applicants from outside the District must complete an application, provide a letter of introduction, resume, and three current (within one year) letters of recommendation.
