The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. Job Summary
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Program Specialist, WE SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area) provides consultation, coaching, one-to-other and group presentation, classroom support, and instructional and behavioral strategies for general educators, special education teachers, resource specialists, designated instructional and services personnel and other providing instructional services to children and adolescents with disabilities.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited college or university; • Possession of a valid California Clear Special Education, Clinical Services, or School Psychologist credential; • Five or more years of experience working in/with special education programs; • Knowledge of current state and federal regulations related to special education. NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed Ed-Join on-line application (all fields must be filled in); • Letter of introduction outlining skills and abilities as related to this position; • Current resume; • Copy of valid California credential(s) as outlined above; • Copy of Master’s degree or official transcripts; • Three (3) current letters of reference (dated and signed within three years). A copy of a valid California Driver’s License is required prior to start of employment.
