Position Summary and Responsibilities Working from our offices, or from your own home office if located in California, (permission to live outside of California must come from the Superintendent of California Connections Academy schools for individuals living outside of California) floating certified teachers will “virtually” manage instructional programs. The teacher will be asked to substitute teach in classrooms from grades TK-5. When no substituting is required, the floating teacher will provide behavioral and academic interventions for at-risk students in academic subjects as requested by teachers and instructional leadership staff. Through use of the telephone, Internet and various curriculum tools they will consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure that each child successfully completes his/her instructional program. Eligible candidates must meet California Teacher Certification requirements for grades TK-5, holding a multi-subject credential. Preferred strengths in : Math, Science and or Language Arts.
