Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Information Technology, manages the District's datacenter, which includes the district's physical Dell servers, as well as, Visualized wmWare 5 Infrastructure, Dell Equalogic ISCSI storage, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Active Directory and Google GADS, Dell AppAssure, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: Four years of directly related experience in the design, development, installation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of servers, Windows server operating systems, and applications in a medium to large scale environment providing 24/7 data center support operations. At least one (1) year must have been in management or supervisory capacity. Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or other closely related field from an accredited college, university, or technical college is required. Possession or completion of Windows Server 2012 MCSA and VmWare VCP6-DCV certificates, and completion or possession of the stated certificates not later than one (1) year from date of hire is required. Equivalency Provision: Additional experience in design, development and implementation of servers, Windows server operating systems, and application in a medium to large scale environment may substitute for up to two (2) years of the education requirement on a year for year basis.
