BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the assigned administrator and under the general supervision of teacher and/or other certificated employee, provides instructional/behavioral support to students in accomplishing learning objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING: Apprentice must be at least 16 years old and a Junior or Senior in good standing in the Manteca Unified School District upon employment. Must be Work Permit Eligible and meet all guidelines for High School Apprenticeship Program. May be dual enrolled with high school and a higher education institution (Junior College). Upon hiring, must possess a current TB clearance. CREDENTIALS AND/OR SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred. - If offered a position student must obtain a District Work Permit. Additionally, students who are 18 years and older will be required to have a fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice. - If hired, a TB (Tuberculosis) negative clearance will be required.
