Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Superintendent or Designee, the School Social Worker will provide individual, group, and family counseling/therapy while using the PBIS framework as the vehicle for implementation. The goal of the School Social Worker is to assist schools in addressing student behavior problems utilizing tiered behavioral interventions to maximize student access to core instruction, maintain student safety, and achieve program goals and objectives. In addition, the School Social Worker is tasked with providing on-site coaching and support to school sites by implementing tiered interventions within the PBIS framework that include school-wide, classroom, and individual treatment plans.
Requirements / Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) Pupil Personnel Services Credential in Social Work preferred Two years' experience providing mental health services within a California school district, county office of education, or children's mental health clinic desired. Bilingual ability may be required, depending on assignment 3 Letters of Recommendation
