Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs a variety of installation, diagnosis, and full range repair duties related to the operation and support of LACOE’s microcomputer, multimedia, and related technologies.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of 12 semester units or 18 quarter units in computer-related courses from a recognized college, vocational or trade school, or equivalent specialized training program. Experience: Two years of experience installing and troubleshooting microcomputer hardware, software, and related peripheral equipment OR one year of experience in the LACOE job classification of Microcomputer Support Technician I. Equivalency Provision: A CompTIA A+ certification may substitute for the 12 semester units or 18 quarter units in computer related coursework. Additional Requirements: A valid California’s driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites is required.
