Job Summary

Job Summary

Under immediate supervision, performs a variety of technical installation, diagnosis, and basic repair duties related to the operation and support of LACOE’s microcomputer, multimedia, and related technologies.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of 12 semester units or 18 quarter units in computer related courses from a recognized college, vocational or trade school, or equivalent specialized training program. Experience: One year of experience installing and troubleshooting microcomputer hardware, software, and related peripheral equipment, OR one year of experience in the LACOE job classification of Customer Service Support Specialist. Equivalency Provision: A CompTIA A+ certification may substitute for the 12 semester units or 18 quarter units in computer related coursework. Additional Requirements: A valid California’s driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites is required.
