Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the designated administrator or coordinator, and/or supervision of the School Social Worker (MSW) the social worker (BSW) will perform behavioral, social, emotional, and educational guidance to students and their families, will provide case management, and provide individual and group sessions, anticipatory guidance, education, preventative health promotion and management of common behavioral, social, emotional, and mental health concerns. Consult and collaborate with school personnel to promote a positive school environment that is responsive to the needs of students, parents, and staff members.

Requirements / Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a closely related field. Two (2) years’ experience of social work or related experience preferred. Possession of and ability to maintain a valid California Driver’s License and valid auto insurance. Submit, at applicants’ own expense, his/her DMV motor vehicle driving record at the time of appointment. Maintain personal responsibility for maintenance of all licenses and permits. This classification requires the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both orally and in writing, and pass a District bilingual test
