DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinating and collaborating with teachers to develop engaging, rigorous, and hands on lessons and lab activities that are based on the district curriculum guide and that focus on cooperative learning structures in order to provide the most effective instructional program possible. Course content includes safety and sanitation, cooking methods and techniques, principles of nutrition, purchasing and inventory, and sustainability in the food service industry. Create a safe learning environment that is conducive to learning. Prepare, administer, and grade assignments in a timely manner providing feedback to students about their progress and providing opportunities that allow students to succeed. Use current technology to enhance institutional effectiveness and be willing to apply any other new technology necessary to enhance learning. Follow proper procedures for obtaining classroom supplies and submitting required documentation in a timely manner. Attending staff meetings, workshops, and other scheduled activities. Maintain and submit attendance and student records within specific timelines. Act as a role model for students. Maintain positive public relations with all entities. Provide supervision and safety of students.

QUALIFICATIONS
Possesion of, or meet qualifications require to obtain a california Designated Subjects Career Technicial Education teaching credential in the field of Hospitality, including appropriate certification to teach English learners.
