The Associate Director of Special Education will play a key leadership role in promoting and ensuring the effective delivery of special education services. Working closely with the Executive Director, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of special education programs, managing a team of educators, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of special education policies, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. This role will involve collaborating with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies that promote the academic and social-emotional growth of students with special needs. The Associate Director will actively participate in school leadership meetings, contribute to the development of school policies related to special education, and provide professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in supporting students with disabilities.
