A. General Description of Position Goals Under general supervision will assist the General Education/VAPA Teacher in programs involving general education and Visual and Performing Arts activities. B. Essential Job Functions 1. Assist students with general education/VAPA in an individual or group setting. 2. Assist in implementing lesson plans for general education/VAPA, focusing on the importance of College and Career Readiness, PBIS, AVID and/or Visual and Performing Arts. 3. Organize and oversee activities and materials. 4. Perform activities and exercises with students. 5. Demonstrate and assure student understanding of instructional activities. C. Other Job Duties and Responsibilities 1. Operate a variety of materials and equipment. 2. Clean, set up, and set out equipment and other materials. 3. May travel to various sites. May rotate sites

Essential job functions: 1. Assist students with general education/VAPA in an individual or group setting. 2. Assist in implementing lesson plans for general education/VAPA, focusing on the importance of College and Career Readiness, PBIS, AVID and/or Visual and Performing Arts. 3. Organize and oversee activities and materials. 4. Perform activities and exercises with students. 5. Demonstrate and assure student understanding of instructional activities. Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: • Operate a computer system. • Assume responsibility for the supervision of students. • Read, write and understand the English and Spanish language. • Work independently in the absence of supervision. • Maintain records related to computer maintenance and student progress. • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. • Understand and carry out oral and written directions. • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information pertaining to pupil records with discretion. Education and Experience Required: • Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent Desired Experience: Six (6) months experience working with art, drawings and graphic design, music, theatre, or other VAPA activities. All candidates offered a position will need to submit the following documents prior to hire: • TB Test Clearance • Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance • First Aid and CPR certification • Pass District Test • CA Driver License • Auto insurance as required by law **BLANK/INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED**
