LIFE SOURCE INTERNATIONAL CHARTER SCHOOL JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: TK-8th Grade Vice Principal/Assistant Principal Work Location: Life Source International Charter School Reports to: Dr. Deberae Culpepper-Ofori, CEO/Founder Life Source International Charter School Mission Statement The mission of Life Source International Charter School (LSICS) is to meet the needs of under-served and disadvantaged students of Lancaster, California by supporting and expanding students’ academic and human potential. The goal of LSICS is to deliver an established, successful, culturally relevant instructional program, while cultivating social and character qualities essential in overall adult success and well-being. Summary Description of Position: The principal will provide leadership and administration which will motivate instructional and support personnel to strive for superior performance so as to provide the best possible opportunities for student growth and development, both educationally and personally. Minimum Qualification Standards Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Thorough knowledge of Life Source International Charter School Parent Handbook policies, Employee Handbook policies, HR, LACOE policies and procedures, organizational patterns, school operations, and pupil services. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to act effectively under stress. Ability to motivate, encourage, and work with staff to ensure outstanding performance as well as good morale. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Education, Training, and Experience: Administrative Credential Special Requirements: (Frequent overtime or night work required, etc.) Work beyond a 40-hour week and attendance at evening meetings as required. Ability to respond to school requirements at any time.
