About the Employer
We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. BASIC FUNCTION: Under general supervision, perform a variety of general clerical and record-keeping duties in support of school operations and activities; answer phones and greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors. Interpret written and oral communications for the school site using Spanish and English. Perform the aspects of this job specification in Spanish and English where applicable. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year general clerical experience preferably including frequent public contact. Read, write, and speak proficient in both English and Spanish languages.

If your application is accepted to move forward, you will be notified via. A written exam (weighted 40% of your score) and an oral panel interview (weighted 60% of your score) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on each portion of the exams. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
