Please note that EDCOE is assisting with the recruitment for this position. The employer however will be the Black Oak Mine Unified School District Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees of the Black Oak Mine Unified School District is seeking a collaborative leader who seeks to get to know and understand our unique and close-knit school community. Individuals with excellent communication skills and a strong school leadership background are invited to apply for the position of Black Oak Mine Unified School District Superintendent. The Board of Trustees seeks highly qualified applicants that are passionate about making a positive impact and helping our school community thrive. Purpose Statement: The Board of Trustees desires to establish a productive working relationship with the Superintendent and to ensure that the work of the Superintendent is focused on student learning and achievement and the attainment of the district's vision and goals. As the chief executive officer of the district, the Superintendent shall implement all Board decisions and manage the instructional and noninstructional operations of the schools. The Superintendent also serves as a member of the district's governance team and has responsibilities to support Board operations and decision making.               The responsibilities of the Superintendent are detailed in law, in the Superintendent's contract, and throughout Board policies and administrative regulations.

Black Oak Mine Unified School District Superintendent Search Brochure Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution is required. - Master’s degree desirable. - At least three years of teaching experience - Valid teaching credential, including all courses necessary to meet credential requirement. - Valid California administrative credential. - Administrative and site management experience required.
