Requirements / Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: * High School Diploma or the equivalent; and * Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; * Or two (2) years of experience working within a classroom setting; * Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Experience working in a school environment a plus.
Competency test will be administered to all qualified applicants. Must apply through EdJoin and upload attachments named exactly as stated (i.e., Letter of Recommendation) in order to be considered for this position.

The Instructional Aide - Special Education assists a special education teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; tutor students in assigned subject areas. If you have experience working with small groups of students either assisting a teacher or as a tutor and have an understanding of students with special needs this position is for you.
