Job Summary

Helios School is seeking a motivated, passionate, and well-rounded youth educator to join our teaching team as an assistant in our Imagine Lab (ILab). The iLab Assistant’s day-to-day work will be coordinated by the iLab Coordinator and include providing direct and supportive teaching engagements directly to K-8 Helios students during weekly makerspace classes. The iLab Assistant will also be tasked with common makerspace equipment operation, maintenance, repair, and general classroom space organization duties. They will assist the iLab Coordinator in project, lesson, and curriculum development, contributing their creative ideas and maker abilities. In addition to supporting all iLab activities, this person will be a member of the school community, taking on duties out of the classroom, such as recess and lunchtime support duties, outdoor education assignments, and subbing in other classes, as needed.
