Workbased-Learning Coordinator - Under the direction of the Coordinator of College and Career Programs (CCCP), the Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator will collaborate, communicate and create outreach and marketing activities with the district’s educational partners, including employers, intermediaries, industry representatives, students and parents. The WBL Coordinator will assist in planning, developing and implementing work-based continuum activities that prepare students for industry-related workforce skills, which may include but are not limited to job shadowing, internships, mentoring opportunities, portfolio exhibitions, labor market and job interview panels, teacher externships, guest speaking, and other career/work related activities. The WBL Coordinator will assist with managing student training plans that may include tracking/organizing student learning outcomes, transportation, student scheduling, data collection and monitoring career/work related activities, in order to ensure continuous improvement toward goals related to Career Pathways, Career and Technical Education (CTE), increasing student access to post-secondary education and employment opportunities, and other college/career readiness initiatives.
Requirements / Qualifications
•High School Diploma or Equivalent; •Valid CA Drivers License and proof of insurance.
•Prior job experience with increasing responsibility; •Knowledge of and ability to collaborate and connect with industry partners, advisory boards, and school administration to maximize student participation in WBL, pathway, and CTE opportunities in all WHS career pathways; •Ability to schedule and coordinate events and meetings that pertain to WBL, Career Pathways, and CTE programs.
