THE POSITION: The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed growing disparities in achievement with students of color and low-income students being disproportionately affected. Under the direction of the Project Director III, the Coordinator II, Learning Acceleration and Academic Supports will work with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and schools to build the capacity of TK-12th grade teachers, administrators, instructional coaches, and paraeducators in supporting all students to become expert learners and to accelerate students social, emotional, and academic learning in literacy, and language development through equitable, inclusive evidence-based strategies intentionally integrated system-wide. The Coordinator II- Learning Acceleration and Academic Support- will support the implementation of the California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration (CCLA) grant within the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework; provides technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, and planning services in learning acceleration in mathematics and English Language Arts; provides direction and leadership to interpret data in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the schools; serves as a resource to program representatives and the LACOE. This is a grant-funded position and limited to the scope of the grant sun setting June 30, 2026.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Experience: Three or more years of comprehensive, directly related, and progressive educational administrative experiences, with at least two years in a public-school setting as a site or district-level administrator. Other administrative experience may include county-level administrative positions in K-12 education. Professional learning experience is required. Teaching experience with diverse populations is desirable. Education: Equivalent to a Master’s degree or higher in Educational Administration, or a closely related field from an Institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associates recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Must attach a detailed certification/credential with document number to application.
