Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Purchasing, Contracts, Reprographics and Warehouse, and Senior Director of Student Nutrition plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and participate in the receipt, inspection, storage and issuance of school materials, furniture mail, supplies and equipment, and cafeteria supplies; schedule regular and special deliveries of supplies, equipment, food and other items to schools and District offices, sites, and other locations as needed; train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Logistics, Logistics Management, Business Administration or related field is required. Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in the receipt, storage and issuance of supplies and equipment and in the operation of delivery vehicles in the logistics/warehouse industry. Four of these years should include supervisory-level responsibility for the operation of the District Warehouse. LICENCE AND REQUIREMENTS Valid California, Class C, driver's license. Forklift Operator’s Certification. ServeSafe Manager Certificate (Preferred)-Must obtain certificate within first 6 months. Desirable Qualifications: Organization and attention to detail are absolutely required. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Can work well with others and independently when necessary. Must be punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and ethical. SPECIAL INFORMATION: Work will vary significantly and require the interpretation and application of procedures, policies, and practices within the organization. Work will require the ability to think analytically, problem solve and make decisions in the best interest of the District.
