Under the direction of the Executive Director of IT & Data Analytics, the Communications Specialist ensures consistent, meaningful messaging that conveys the organization’s mission to the public through various channels of communication, including printed material, the media, website, social media, and community engagement events. Additionally, a key responsibility is parent outreach and community connection. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, efficient multi-tasker and project manager, and able to collaborate across various departments and interest groups.

This vacancy is for a Communication Specialist position. The Communication Specialist works 12 months at the Fowler USD District Office. This is an unrepresented, confidential, classified full-time position working 8 hours per day Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM with a one-hour lunch. Preference will be given to candidates who submit a portfolio of demonstrated professional communication accomplishments, creative aptitude, and detail-oriented project management skill sets. Current Salary placement is relative to the position work experience up to a maximum of 3 years; see salary schedule for step/column information. Fowler Unified School District offers a comprehensive health benefits program for employees who work 30 hours or more per week. At the time of this posting the district annual contribution is $18,771.00 of the premium cost of medical, vision and dental insurance for all eligible employees subject to change.
