MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years of experience in institutional cooking in an education or equivalent setting has been found to be a minimum requirement for successful job performance. Relevant experience, education. REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: - Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability - Food Safety and Sanitation Certificate
SELECTION PROCESS: All applications will be screened to verify current SUSD employment and ensure applicant meets minimum qualifications. During this process employees with the title of Cook Team Leader may also apply for a transfer. The process will include a written and oral exam. Candidates achieving a passing score of 70% or higher on both exams will be placed on an eligibility list. The eligibility list is valid for one year and will be used to fill full-time and substitute positions in this classification. The top three ranks of candidates will receive a site interview. Additional interviews will be conducted in rank order as vacancies occur. Exams are scheduled for October 2023 and November 2023.
