Immanuel Lutheran Church Christian Preschool- Riverside, CA Ministry Description: DIRECTOR (full time contract position- 40 hr./12 month) Qualifications: 1) Education: An associate degree with an early childhood certificate from an accredited college or university. At least 3 credits of administrative coursework for early childhood education. 2) Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience and 3 years of experience as a Preschool Administrator. 3) Desired Qualities: A Christian of deep faith and an active member of a Christian church. Honest, dependable, resourceful, and organized. Capable of handling financial responsibilities. An outgoing and good communicator. Genuinely loves children and is capable of managing preschool children well. Works well with staff, volunteers, and preschool families. Salary: Starting at $63,000 Accountability: The director shall be directly responsible to the Senior Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Responsibilities: Participate in the mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church and attend Sunday services regularly. If not a Lutheran Church Worker, complete the Colloquy program. Ensure that the preschool curriculum has its foundation in the Word of God and has a sound developmental philosophy. Strive for excellence in all aspects of our Preschool program and enhance our reputation of excellence in our community. Building and maintaining a positive relationship with the parents and families ongoing. Preschool administrative duties include: Regularly contact state and local regulatory agencies and insure conformance to regulations. Know Title 22 regulations and requirements. Maintain current accreditation standards. Oversee and maintain records, health history, physician’s reports, and daily attendance for children and staff. Order and manage supplies and equipment.
