Job Summary
The Superintendent/Principal of the Caliente Union School District shall serve as the instructional leader for the school staff in Transitional kindergarten through eighth grades, requiring participation with staff, students, parent activities and community leadership. He/she shall supervise and evaluate the performance of all assigned personnel in accordance with program policies and uniform guidelines for evaluation and assessment, and provide leadership to the staff in determining objectives and identifying program needs as the basis for developing long and short-range plans. As the Chief Administrator, the superintendent/principal will work with the board to build upon strong educational programs and create a vision for an exceptional future for the district.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: California Administrative Services credential, or enrollment in an administrative credential program and eligibility for a preliminary administrative credential. Experience: Minimum of three years full-time teaching experience. Previous administrative experience at site or district level preferred.
