Under general supervision to perform skilled work related to the installation, maintenance and repair of computer systems, mobile devices, networks and related hardware and software.
Requirements / Qualifications
The following are required for this position prior to hire: * TB clearance (Required upon hire) * Qualified candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ & FBI Fingerprint Clearance * Proof of COVID 19 Vaccination (Required upon hire or exemption may be requested) * High School Diploma or GED and 30 college units in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1 year or more of relevant experiences in the field of Information Technology. * A completed program of at least 6 months in a technological related trade school may be substituted to replace 30 college units. * Valid California Driver's License Substitute IT Technician Classified is an on-call as needed position.
All District employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Successful applicants for this position will be required to submit proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or request an exemption for qualifying medical or religious reasons during the onboarding process. Applicants should not present proof of vaccination until directed to do so by the District’s Human Resources Office. * No blank or incomplete applications will be accepted. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis. Selected candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ and FBI. Once candidates clear TB and fingerprints they will be invited to attend a substitute orientation.
