Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the California Association of Health and Education Linked Professions (CAHELP) JPA Chief Executive Officer, the Program Specialist, Literacy, provides consultation, coaching, one-to-one and group presentation, classroom support, and instructional and behavioral strategies for general educators, special education teachers, designated instructional and services personnel and others providing instructional services to students. *Expertise in Literacy must be demonstrated on the resume or application packet.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Master’s degree in special education or a related field from an accredited college or university; • Possession of a valid California Special Education Teaching credential; • Five or more years of experience working in/with special education programs; • Knowledge of current state and federal regulations related to special education.
