Job Summary
Definition: Under the direction of the school principal, the noon duty aide assists in enforcing school rules and providing for the safety and welfare of students from classroom activities during the lunch period in the cafeteria, at the outdoor lunch tables, and on the playground and provides other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS • Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR Certification or secure certification no later than six (6) months after the date of employment. • High School Diploma or equivalent is desired. Experience in organizing and participating in social and recreational group activities with children is desired. • General understanding of student behavior, basic principles of minor first aid, standards of courtesy to be observed by school children. • Supervise elementary school age children. • Follow school policies and procedures. • Maintain interest, order and discipline among children. • Maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with teachers, staff, co-workers and students. • Speak, understand, read and write English. Highly Desirable: Bilingual in English and in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese or Spanish.
