is is the 23-24 High School Biology Teacher Application for Rise Kohyang High School, located in Koreatown, Los Angeles. We are seeking a High School Biology Teacher in a diverse learning environment (Koreatown) with an emphasis on academic integrity, social emotional support, and restorative justice. You'll have an opportunity to not only impact student achievement in STEM but spark student curiosity and promote interests in STEM related post secondary fields. You'll also have extensive instructional and coaching support system and access to a standardized biology curriculum with tools to assess formative and summative growth of student learning. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree Single Subject CA Biological Sciences Credential Candidates with an intern credential are also considered Two years of urban teaching experience preferred Bilingual in Spanish and/or Korean is desirable but not required Possession of either an English Learner Authorization (EL Authorization), Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate; Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certificate; or Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) required.

Salary: BSS salary is based on experience and education, and was created in consideration of the longer school day and school year. Please click here for our salary scale. We are also offering a signing bonus to all Science teachers who join us this 2023-24 school year.
Status: Full Time
Start Date: An exceptional candidate will assume a full time role no later than October 2023.
