Primary Function:
Responsible for performing educational administrator responsibilities related to planning, organizing and directing services for students with disabilities while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and College laws, statutes, policies and regulations pertaining to students with disabilities.
Salary: $10,828.65 (step 1) – $13,187.91 (step 5). Step placement may be negotiable dependent upon education and experience. Administrators that possess earned doctorates from accredited institutions are awarded an annual stipend of $1,842.81.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications:
Experience:. Must meet both of the sets of qualifications under (a) and (b) below.
• (a) Five years of full-time equivalent experience working with individuals with disabilities in an educational setting, including two years of management or supervisory experience.
• (b) Two years of full-time equivalent experience within the last four years in one or more of the following fields listed in (1) through (4) below:
(1) Instruction or counseling or both in a higher education program for students with disabilities.
(2) Administration of a program for students with disabilities in an institution of higher education.
(3) Teaching, counseling or administration in secondary education working predominantly or exclusively in programs for students with disabilities.
(4) Administrative or supervisory experience in industry, government, public agencies, the military, or private social welfare organizations in which the responsibilities of the position were predominantly or exclusively related to persons with disabilities.
Note: For work experience, a “year” is defined as equivalent to 40 hours per week for 12 months. Supervisory experience must be at a professional level (i.e. evaluation and/or discipline of staff
AND
Education: Master’s degree n counseling, rehabilitation counseling, special education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
Only coursework completed at, and degrees awarded by, accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education will be considered as satisfying the minimum qualifications. Coursework and degrees that are completed outside of the United States are required to have transcripts evaluated (evaluation to U.S. equivalency and a course by course analysis) by an appropriate U.S. credentials evaluation service.
