Title: Data Scientist About High Tech High Developed by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High (“HTH”) opened in September 2000 as a small public project-based charter school with plans to serve approximately 450 students. HTH has evolved into an integrated network of sixteen charter schools serving approximately 6,500 students in grades K-12 across four San Diego County campuses (Point Loma, Clairemont, North County, and Chula Vista). The HTH organization also includes a comprehensive adult learning environment including a Teacher Credentialing Program and the High Tech High Graduate School of Education, offering professional development opportunities serving national and international educators. Job Function/Description High Tech High seeks a motivated, organized, creative, flexible and data-driven candidate to lead organization-wide work around data analysis, state assessment policies, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate is familiar with High Tech schools and aligned with HTH design principles (learn more about HTH design principles at https://www.hightechhigh.org/about-us/). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS: Detail-orientation and demonstrated experience working on collaborative team Experience and demonstrated proficiency in managing large and/or challenging data sets Strong quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to design and create data dashboards, visualizations, reports, or infographics Ability to express technical concepts to a non-technical audience Ability to collaborate with a broad audience to help simply answer complex questions using data Knowledge and Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree is required with a degree in information science, data science or programming preferred.
