Hemet Unified School District is one of the largest geographic areas of any district in California. POSITION INFORMATION: Posting #: CL5328 Position Title: Campus Security Officer I Location: Hemet High School Work Hours/Days: 3.0 hours per day | Monday - Friday Work Schedule: 8 a.m.- 11 a.m. (Please note: Work schedule is subject to change based on site needs) Salary: $23.44 - $28.50 per hour (Range 28 Classified Salary Schedule, effective July 1, 2023) Work Year: Temporary position for the 2023-2024 school year (NOTE: Duration of position is contingent upon funds.) LATERAL TRANSFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED FIRST Employees selected for a Lateral Transfer will remain on their same salary schedule placement.
Application Requirements Proof of all of the following documents MUST be attached to your application: 1) Updated Resume (Detailed, updated resume (relevant to this position) and work experience information is REQUIRED, as it will be factored for the recruitment process and salary placement) 2) Possession of the SB 1626 Campus Security Course Certificate (Lifetime Certification) 3) 40-Hour BSIS Guard Card (Current): this includes 8 hours (Power to arrest/Weapons of Mass Destruction), 16 hours (Public relations, liability, report writing, communications), 16 hours (Arrests, Search and Seizure, Trespass, Laws & Ordinances, etc.) 4) Proof of completion of the following: *NIMS IS-100 Introduction to the Incident Command System *NIMS IS-200 Incident Command System for Single Resources *NIMS IS-700 National Incident Management System *NIMS IS-800 National Response Framework 5) Must have a CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) with AED and first aid certificate from a standardized course (example - American Red Cross). CPR with AED and First Aid certification must be attained within 6 months of hire. Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License.
