Job Title: Classified Substitute Job Description: A classified substitute is an individual who temporarily fills in for regular classified staff members when they are absent or on leave. Classified staff refers to non-teaching positions within the school district, such as campus monitors, custodians, instructional aides, cafeteria workers, and other support staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintaining a Safe and Clean Environment: Ensuring that classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and other areas are kept clean, orderly, and safe for students and staff. Assisting in Classroom Activities: Supporting teachers and students in the instructional process by providing assistance with classroom activities, materials, and resources. Administrative Support: Providing clerical and administrative support, such as answering phones, filing documents, data entry, and other related tasks. Supervising Students: Monitoring students during recess, lunch breaks, and other non-instructional times to maintain discipline, safety, and a positive learning environment. Operating Equipment: Operating and maintaining various equipment and resources as required for the assigned position, such as computers, audio-visual systems, custodial equipment, etc. Following Policies and Procedures: Adhering to district policies, procedures, and guidelines in carrying out assigned tasks and responsibilities. Collaboration: Collaborating with other staff members, teachers, and administrators to ensure smooth functioning of the school operations and support the educational goals of the district. Flexibility: Being prepared to work in different positions or departments within the classified staff based on the needs of the school district with open availability.

Ability to learn and work all possible positions, including, but not limited to, custodial and food service positions with valid food handlers card.
