Job Summary
Seeking a qualified SST Coordinator to oversee the student support process. The SST Coordinator will aid in determining Tier 2 intervention supports, facilitate SST meetings and oversee intervention teachers. He/she will work closely with other teachers, program specialists, directors, service providers and medical professionals to ensure all students have the right type of supports in place. In addition, the Coordinator will document and follow up with SST meetings and communicate with parents, teachers, staff regarding progress or further screenings needed. The Coordinator may also assist general education teachers with selection of appropriate curricula and the development and implementation of appropriate strategies. The Coordinator may travel to in person meetings, regional team meetings, and present team processes. The SST Coordinator is responsible for oversight of matters related to access and accommodation for individuals requiring Tier 2 intervention support, in collaboration with schools, and advocacy groups supporting students.
