Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, the Director works with schools to provide instructional leadership and support related to instruction, intervention and categorical programs; serves as an integral team member responsible for the development and implementation of curricular programs and improvement strategies across all schools; reports to and assists the Assistant Superintendent, Educational services to meet the needs of students, school leaders and teachers to ensure that student learning and achievement are maximized and capacity is built in principal and teacher instructional leadership; and to do job-related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: A valid California teaching credential, a valid California Administrative Services Credential and a Masters degree are required. A successful candidate must also possess a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience and demonstrated experience with English Learners. TK-12 teaching experience desirable. Successful experience as a site principal. TK-12 administrative experience desirable. Successful district office administrative and cabinet level experience preferred. Bilingual preferred
