Job Summary
NOTE: This position can be combined with a 6 hour Instructional Assistant position for a total of 7 hours per day. All interested applicants should submit their applications to both postings. DUTIES: Under supervision, monitor student behavior on school campus; enforce District and school policies and rules; observe and report any damage to school property; patrol campus and student parking areas; use a hand-held radio for communication; watch for smoking, alcohol, drugs, and weapons; assist students with locker and locked car problems; on teacher planning work days, assist the school staff as needed; participate in District mandated training and retraining programs. QUALIFICATIONS: - Knowledge of: Adolescent behavior; appropriate safety precautions and procedures. - Ability to: Learn and apply District and school policies; control the behavior and activities of students in a wide variety of situations; use a simple hand-held radio/transmitter. - Desirable: Bilingual. Equivalent to completion of high school. - Required: Fingerprints and TB test upon initial employment.
