Job Summary

Job Summary

The job of Human Resources Specialist is done for the purpose/s of supporting the educational process by providing advanced support to the delivery of human resource services with specific responsibility for supporting department staff; providing information to applicants and employees; maintaining records; and completing assigned projects and tasks.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of progressively responsible experience has been found to be a minimum requirement for successful job performance. Relevant experience, education, certificates and/or licenses may be substituted.

SELECTION PROCESS: All applications will be screened to ensure applicant meets minimum qualifications.  The exam process will include an in person multiple choice exam, scheduled for September 26, 2023 followed by an oral exam scheduled for October 3, 2023 for all qualified applicants.  Passing score is 70% on each exam.  An eligibility list will be established and the top three ranks of candidates from the list will receive a departmental interview as positions become vacant. All exams are based on the job description for the position.  Job descriptions are available on the District website, Personnel Commission, or Human Resources.
