Job Summary

The Lawndale Elementary School District is hiring Site Substitute Teachers for the 2023-24 school year. These positions are temporary for one school year and are scheduled to end on 6/11/2024. Site Substitute Teachers work M-F, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm at a designated school site and are eligible for health benefits. LESD pays 100% for employees' individual health/welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc). Dependent coverage is available at a cost to the employee. Requirements / Qualifications

A valid California Teaching Credential or 30-day Emergency Permit is required. All documents listed are required and must be attached to your EDJOIN application. Incomplete applications will be screened out.

  • Credential Copy (Current and valid)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two signed letters of recommendation)

  • Test Results/Materials (California Basic Educational Skills Test: CBEST)
