Santa Rosa Academy is a K-12 public charter school, established in 2005 and chartered out of the Menifee Union School District. We serve students in Riverside county with site-based, home study, and a combination of home study/on-site programs accreditated by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Job Summary
Under direction of the Director of Educational/Programs/Student Services/, the Coordinator provides consultative and collaborative services in support of the instructional programs for students with disabilities; provides training, coaching, guidance and assistance to administrators and staff regarding best practices in assessment, instructional methodologies and curriculum for special education students; supervision and evaluation of certificated and classified staff; assist with professional development and training programs to ensure the ongoing implementation of high standards of instructional practice, assistance and services; consults with District office administration regarding students, staff, programs, finances and legal requirements; promotes effective relationships between the school and the community members to enhance a collaborative learning environment to promote student achievement.
Requirements / Qualifications
CERTIFICATED MANAGEMENT POSITION FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR: • This position receives 11 sick days and 3 PN days annually. • This position is Certificated Management and is under the Cal STRS retirement system. • All employees of Santa Rosa Academy are paid on a semi-monthly pay cycle. • 210 contracted work days/11 months and does not receive vacation or paid holidays. • All emp • The school will contribute $10,000 toward the employees and/or families health and welfare benefits. Supplemental insurances for the employee and/or family are available at the employee’s expense. Education and Experience: • Must have a valid California Teaching Special Education Credential. • Must possess or be eligible for an Administrative Services Credential. • Master’s degree in education or related Special Education field, is required. • Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience. • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in school site and/or school leadership, professional development, educational assessment and program evaluation, is preferred.. • Has successfully demonstrated the ability to lead groups, analyze situations as needed and carry out directives and communicate effectively. Possesses exemplary presentation skills. • Must possess a valid California driver’s license and be insurable. • Demonstrate excellence in leadership and management skills. • Qualities of excellence, integrity, respect, compassion, courage, and forthrightness in dealing with students, parents, and staff.
